Golovninsky Cliff
Golovninsky Cliff spreads out from Mys (Cape) Puzanov to the mouth of Belozerka River. This unique relief is a real open-air geological museum. The main stages of the Golovnin volcano’s activity and climatic events over the past two million years are depicted here. The structure of the cliff is quite complicated: ashes from ancient eruptions alternate with strata of marine sediments and include different-aged peat bogs.In addition to the cliffs, which are the background for unforgettable photos, the local waterfalls are the objects of special tourists’ attention. They come down from the height of the cliff and fall directly into the sea.
